GAME REVIEW: This game is too easy to deserve the word 'Hardcore' and a leaderboard. The ending is also anti-climactic, it just simply ends on level 20 like that. To sum up this game, it is too short and worhtless to be noticed. Walkthrough link is useless, dull graphics, buggy, lots of pixelhunting and zero originality. It tries hard to be The Impossible Quiz or Nevereding Level Game but fails miserably. And worst, there is NO mute button! That means I had to bear this game's irritating music for its entirety! 0/10 0/5.

Also, only people who made it to the end know what I'm talking about :P

Yeah! lol

Not bad, It deserves a real review (spoilers)

Presentation - 8.0 : A pretty solid 3d shooter built in Flash. Going in, my expectations weren't the same as they would be for a 360/Wii/PS3 game. However, it certainly surprised me.

Graphics - 6.5 : As I said, I didn't have very high expectations, but it did surprise me. I did not know that Flash was capable of such graphics. On the other hand, there were some tricky parts. Such as the forest area, after you escape the pipe cleaner. The ground looked really glitched, and I thought that something had messed up.

Sound - 8.5: Probably the best part of the game. It certainly enhances what was going on. It did sound sort of... generic. Don't get me wrong, though- it still had a sort of epic feeling to it. The voices were slightly campy, and after a while, they cut out completely. (It may have just been me, though)

Gameplay - 6.5: While it feels like a first-person shooter, there are some parts that feel like they don't really belong. The third-person view didn't really seem necessary. The heal system, while handy to have around at all times, was flawed. When I tried to heal, it seemed like the healing unit was trying to escape; it was rather hard to get a hold of it, even escaping my grasp after I clicked on it and held it. The chemicops were rather annoying, hopping around a bit much, and sometimes, hit detection seemed way off. I must have fired 30 rounds into one enemy, and not a single one hit. There are merits to be had, though. The achievement system is likely to bring a few people back to get the best achievements possible. The story has real potential as well. Being only about a 15-minute game or so, it could definitely go a lot farther.

Lasting Appeal - 6.0: I feel like it really depends on who is playing. I think that since there is a real game here, that I could come back and play it again, but I'm not so sure about how many times I could play through. It does needs some work, but there is enough to merit one whole playthrough at least.

Overall, a 7 out of 10 (not an average).

popopt responds:

wow - thoughtful and thorough. and with section ratings, just like gametrailers. You know, this feedback, all of it, definitely makes me think and it does become a part of me in a way that shows up in each game. so thanks for taking the time to write up such a complete review. What youve said will show up in one form or another in my next creation.

I made one up just now

Chuck Norris can alter your DNA with his roundhouse kick. It will turn you into Chuck Norris. But since such an improbability can not exist, you immediately turn to dust. However, since you became Chuck Norris, you survive and turn back into Chuck Norris, because Chuck Norris can't die. But the improbability is still there, so you are forever doomed to turn to dust then come back, unless the REAL Chuck Norris dies. Which won't happen.

sounds painful :D

It's all right but

The werewolves part really sucks. I mean, you have to stop running so you can jump backwards, possibly more than once, thus wasting even more time. I just don't like to break my stride is all. And they hurt you when you jump on their back. That's just plain weird.

TheMillz responds:

Your supposed to jump over them as a gameplay mechanic. Like the bullets in super mario ( you could probly kill those by landing on them actually, I forget, if so, bad example ). It's not meant to "waste time" but just be another hurdle you need to surpass and something you need to manage your time for.

Thanks for reviewing though, and a HUGE THANKS for not being mentally thick and not complaining that we didn't tell you the controls ( when they are tossed in your face in so many ways ).

Checkpoints, please!

I do enjoy LoZ, but I haven't played any of the NES games, or N64 games. I thought there was checkpoints, because after a certain number of questions right, one corner of the triforce in the background lit up. But it was not a checkpoint. Overall, it was good.

liable-to-explode responds:

Yeah, I should fix it. I'll do that now. It will take a while, though. :)

Wow

On the chess level, I got 4 multiball powerups in a row, so there were balls EVERYWHERE! It slowed down, but I didn't care. Then on the Skull level, there was a glitch. The left Eye wouldn't be hit, the ball would pause at its border, then it would pass through it. However, besides these things, it was pretty good. If the original Arkanoid was like this, it would probably have been a legendary game (for its time).

elmortem responds:

Thank you, I always fix the problem with multiball. Bug with non-breakable hindering block - this feature. (:

Really fun

Fun game, but when I die, the restart button doesn't work.

jjwallace responds:

sure it works it says push up to restart... dont use the mouse :-)

I want to become a voice actor, but I need work. I have a deep voice, but I can change it (only slightly) to be a bit higher. I am also *learning* Japanese, so that would be good for people who need that. I can't translate between languages yet, though.
